When your upper and lower jaws don’t line up, the Crossbow Appliance will slowly move the top teeth back and your lower jaw forward, creating an ideal bite.
What does it do?
When your upper and lower jaws don’t line up, the Crossbow Appliance will slowly move the top teeth back and your lower jaw forward, creating an ideal bite. This is an alternative to the old style head-gear. The top jaw may also be widened to create more space for teeth in the mouth.
Why do I need this?
The Crossbow appliance will help you bring your lower jaw forward, by creating space for crowded teeth. It also:
- Corrects jaw and tooth position
- Corrects over-bite
- Prevent the need for possible jaw surgery
How does it work?
Slight pressure brings the lower jaw forward and the top teeth back. It’s working every minute while it’s in your mouth! By turning the key at home, it helps to widen the upper jaw while it grows, guiding it in the right direction. It may take three to four days to get used to talking and for your cheeks to get used to the appliance.
