      Elastics for Certain Misaligned Teeth

       

       

      To help correct a posterior crossbite, we may place a metal button on the inside of one of your top or bottom teeth.

      You will then be prescribed an elastic band that stretches from the inside button to the outside of one of the teeth on the opposite arch. The doctor will prescribe specific teeth. The pressure from this elastic will encourage the teeth to occlude better and come out of crossbite.
