When your upper and lower jaws don’t line up, Invisalign® with wings will slowly move your lower jaw forward, creating an ideal bite.
This treatment will also widen the upper jaw, making room for permanent teeth to grow in properly. Early orthodontic therapy can treat habits or problems such as crowded teeth, narrow or underdeveloped jaws, large or overdeveloped jaws, crossbites and overbites.
Why do I need this?
Invisalign® with wings will help you bring your lower jaw forward, by creating space for crowded teeth and:
- Lessening the need for jaw surgery in the future.
- Helping reduce the risk of adult teeth getting stuck in the bone.
- Reducing the need to have adult teeth removed later.
- Lowering the chances of needing future orthodontic treatment or making future treatment simpler.
How does it work?
By wearing the trays and changing them every week, slight pressure in the right direction widens the jaw while it grows, and brings the lower jaw forward. Trays need to be worn 20-22 hours per day. While they’re in the mouth, they’re working!
