What to Expect
When the freezing wears off, you will likely feel some tenderness around the area for a few days, until your tissues heal up. The mini implant is temporary, so that means that it can loosen on its own. If that happens, please contact our office right away we’ll accommodate you as soon as we can.
Post Op Instructions
- Take an anti-inflammatory such as Advil®, Ibuprofen® or Aleve® for discomfort if necessary.
- Avoid rinsing, spitting and touching the area on the day of the surgery.
- 1 day after the surgery, rinse the area 2-3 times with salt water. Mix one teaspoon of salt in a small glass of lukewarm water and rinse for 1 minute.
- When brushing and flossing, be very gentle around the area.
